Dr. Prerok Regmi is currently Assistant Professor of the Institute of Ayurveda under Nepal Sanskrit University (NSU). He served as Consultant Ayurveda Physician under the Bagmati Province, Ministry of Health. He has served as Research officer at Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC) which is an autonomous research organization of Government of Nepal (GON). Besides being an avid research enthusiast, he is also occupied in evidence based clinical practice. He is involved in the first Journal of Ayurveda of Nepal- “Journal of Ayurveda Doctors Association of Nepal” as an Executive Editor.

He has worked at the National Ayurveda Research and Training Center, Kirtipur, Nepal, an apex research body of Complementary Medicine of Nepal as a research officer for two years. He works in the areas of Herbal Medicine, Ayurvedic Drugs Standardization and Instrumental Analysis of the Herbal Constituents.

He graduated in Ayurveda Bachelor of Ayurveda Medical and Surgery (Complementary Medicine Academia of Nepal) from Ayurveda Campus, Kirtipur, IOM, TU. He completed his MD at the SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi, Karnataka, India winning University eight rank to the specialized subject. He specialized in the field of Agadtantra evum Vyavhayurveda (Toxicology in Modern Science) and has the passion and the field of research is- toxicological aspects of poisonous flora and fauna. He has contributed an editorial on the Research Journals of Ayurveda and a reviewer to the International Medical Journals. He was able to contribute to the National Project of Climate Change, by NAST, GON. Currently, he is involved in the Clinical Trial of Herbal Medicine, COVID-19 Research, Drug Discovery and Genomic Medicine.

He has also secured Diploma in Bioinformatics (Manipal) and attend Infodemic Manager Course (CDC) focused to the Infodemic Managment.
